Archer's XNUMXth Emmy-winning season is renewed

The Emmy Award-winning animated comedy series Archer has been renewed for a thirteenth season on FXX, announced by Nick Grad, President, Original Programming, FX. The new eight-episode season will be available in 2022 and, like the current XNUMXth season, will premiere on FXX and be available to stream the next day on FX on Hulu.

"Archer remains one of FX's signature series and we are happy to extend its legacy with another globetrotting season, ”said Grad.“ Like 'Sterling Archer' himself, Adam Reed, Matt Thompson, Casey Willis and the entire Floyd County Productions are infinitely creative and always find a way to outdo themselves. Our thanks to them and the incredible cast of voices that keep this fan favorite spy comedy as fresh and exciting as ever. "

“On behalf of our entire team of talented illustrators, animators, writers and actors, I just wanted to say… ahhh, gosh. I had something for it. No. Lost. So ... I guess just thanks? " added Matt Thompson and Casey Willis.

Archer continues its current 29th season on Wednesday 12 September with the seventh episode, “Colt Express”. In it, a mysterious stranger and a treasure hunt help Archer and the gang jump on their enemies. (Written by Alison Zeidman.) Season 6 ends Wednesday, October XNUMX.

In its long run, Archer has racked up numerous awards, including an Emmy Award for Best Animated Program and four Critics Choice Awards for Best Animated Series.

Archer is a half-hour animated comedy that follows Sterling Archer as he navigates the changing landscape of the spy world. In the current season, Archer and the gang face a new threat: a conglomerate of spies known as the IIA (International Intelligence Agency). With a limited number of spy jobs up for grabs, can the Agency compete against the soulless vultures of IIA, or will our family-owned spy agency be the next to be swallowed alive?

The series features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin as the (former) greatest spy in the world, “Sterling Archer”; Aisha Tyler as the marital-troubled spy, "Lana Kane"; the late Jessica Walter as Archer's mother and spy chief, “Malory Archer”; Judy Greer as the adorable and insane office assistant, "Cheryl / Carol Tunt;" Chris Parnell as the top office spy, "Cyril Figgis;" Amber Nash as positively offensive “Pam Poovey”; Adam Reed as an opportunist, “Ray Gillette” and Lucky Yates as an unscrupulous scientist, “Algernop Krieger”.

Archer was created by Adam Reed and is produced by Reed, Matt Thompson and Casey Willis at Floyd County Productions. The series is produced by FX Productions.
