All on stage with Melody (Maxie's World) is a 1987 animated children's television program produced by DIC Animation City. In Italy the series was first broadcast on Canale 5 in 1992.

The Italian theme song was written by Alessandra Valeri Manera, composed by Ninni Carucci and sung by Cristina D'Avena.

The animated series All on stage with Melody (Maxie's World) consists of a season, for a total of 32 episodes, each lasting 15 minutes. After its original programming, it continued to air throughout the late 80s and early 90s as part of a syndication package with re-broadcasts of Beverly Hills Teens and It's Punky Brewster.

Developed for television by Phil Harnage and produced by Andy Heyward, the series was conceived as a link to Hasbro's line of “Maxie” fashion dolls. Title character Maxie is a student, cheerleader and surfer who attends Surfside High School in California. In addition to her "typical" teenage life, she regularly finds adventures solving crimes and investigating mysteries as the host of her own TV show.

History

The series takes place in the fictional beach town of “Surfside” and follows the adventures of teenager Melody (Maxie) and her circle of friends. She attends Surfside High School where she is a popular student, cheerleader and surfer, while after school she is the host and investigative reporter of her self-titled talk show Maxie's World. Through her work as a journalist, she regularly finds herself called to investigate mysteries and solve crimes, bringing the guilty to justice. Often accompanying Melody (Maxie) on her adventures is her boyfriend, Rob, a beautiful and popular football and soccer star at Surfside High.

Other members of Melody's (Maxie) circle of friends include Ashley, Carly and Simone, while male friends Mushroom and Ferdie regularly provide the series with its slapstick comic elements. Providing much of the conflict in the series is Jeri, who is envious of Melody (Maxie) and is often shown manipulating events to humiliate the TV star in an attempt to sabotage her career and get her TV show. In addition to the comical and mysterious elements, the series occasionally takes the opportunity to address more serious issues, including one episode that addresses the problem of smoking in adolescents and another that addresses the problem of eating disorders.
