“Pinocchio: A True Story” the new animated film of 2022

A new animated version of a classic tale will soon be available on disc Pinocchio: A True Story (Pinocchio: a true story), available on Digital, On Demand and DVD from Lionsgate on March 22. This energetic CG retelling of Carlo Collodi's story is played by Pauly Shore (Bio-dome, Encino Man), Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite, Blades of Glory) and prolific voice actor Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants, Adventure Time).

Synopsis: Think you know the story of Pinocchio? Think again! In this electrifying and entertaining interpretation of the classic tale, the wooden hero is a skilled acrobat who performs stunts with his beloved horse, the witty Tybalt. He escapes to join a circus, where he falls in love with the ringmaster's daughter, Bella. But when Pinocchio discovers that the circus is a cover for robberies, he must stop the criminal madness to save Bella and hopefully become human. It's a magical adventure that the whole family will enjoy!

The 94-minute family film is produced by Moscow's Licensing Brands and directed by Vasiliy Rovenskiy, who also wrote the film with Maxim Sveshnikov and Vadim Sveshnikov, and produced alongside Roman Borisevich and Maxim Rogalskiy. Executive producers are Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb.
