“Hardboiled” is getting ready for the Tribeca Film Fest
New York-based multidisciplinary studio Hornet toasted this week at Hardboiled by Peter Sluszka, which will have its world premiere in the official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival 2022. This production procedure is ready to whet the appetite of the public after more than 12 years of work.
Hardboiled is a stop-motion animated satire of the classic urban American crime drama, in which food and crime are inseparable. Raw, noir and absurd, the story follows the exploits of tenacious detectives Harry and Callaham (an egg and a slice of ham) as they frustrate their boss, shake a sleazy bacon pimp, and intertwine with a megalomaniac strawberry.
"After years of chipping away at and sometimes obsessing over Hardboiled, I'm thrilled to release it on the loose," said Sluszka, whose credits include Annie Max and Maxine-nominated short for Eli Lilly and Regina Spektor's music video.
