Stand My Heroes: Warmth of Memories anime will be released in 2023

The official website of the new original anime video (OVA) of the smartphone game Stand My Heroes opened on Monday and the site announces the main staff of the new anime, the title Stand My Heroes: Warmth of Memories and the release in 2023.

Hitomi Ezoe (director of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Hozuki's Coolheadedness) will direct the anime at MSC, the studio behind the 2019 TV anime Stand My Heroes: Piece of Truth. Also Sayaka Harada (STARMYU, Code: Realize - Guardian of Rebirth-) will return from the 2019 television series to oversee the scripts of the series with Hajime Aida again credited as scenario consultant. Yukie Takayama (episode animation director on STARMYU, Code: Realize -Guardian of Rebirth-) and the band's fox capture plan (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Salaryman's Club) are back from the television anime respectively to draw the characters and compose the music.

The website of the new anime uses the Japanese term usually used to describe a streaming version.

The otome puzzle game for female players is set in modern Tokyo at Matori, the narcotics control unit of the investigators of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. The protagonist, who has the unique trait of drugs that have no effect on her, ends up working in the unit. She recruits personnel from detectives, idols, writers, brilliant high school students, top designers, butlers, underground doctors and others to form squads of modern ikemen heroes for different missions.

The OVA adapts the additional story from the Narumi Seo character event map launched in the original game in April 2018. As such, it features heroes from the Seo Research Lab who did not appear in the previous television anime.

The television anime of the smartphone game Stand My Heroes premiered on October 7, 2019. Funimation streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and the English dub premiered on October 14, 2019.

Hideyo Yamamoto (Strike the Blood, The Prince of Tennis II OVA vs. Genius 10, Code: Realize -Guardian of Rebirth-) directed the television anime for MSC.

The game launched in 2016 and has garnered over 1 million downloads.
