Netflix will produce animated series based on the book "Elf on the Shelf"
Netflix will bring joy to its viewers through a new partnership with The Lumistella Company, home of the perennial best seller The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition. The streamer acquired the Audio and Video rights to produce original stories for the company's entire brand portfolio; including but not limited to: The Elf on the Shelf, Elf Pets and Elf Mates. The news was announced with a festive poem that you can read below.
Netflix will develop engaging original content - live action and animated - in collaboration with the creators of beloved Christmas classics, for preschool audiences and family audiences across both series and movies. Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment (The LEGO movie, How to train your dragon) and Miri Yoon will serve as producers of all content on “The Elf on the Shelf”.
Also involved will be “The Elf On The Shelf” writers Chanda Bell, Christa Pitts and Carol Aebersold, who will serve as executive producers of the upcoming films and shows.
