On March 28, 2023, Disney + released the Peter Pan & Wendy character posters. The live-action retelling of JM Barrie's novel and the 1953 animated classic will debut in a month, April 28, exclusively on Disney+. The posters introduce Peter Pan, Wendy Darling, Captain Hook, Tinker Bell, Sponge, Tiger Lily, John Darling, Michael Darling and the Lost Boys (Amberjack, Nibs, Slightly, Tootles, Bark, Birdie and the twins) who will make viewers experience a timeless adventure, like never before.

History

Peter Pan & Wendy tells the story of Wendy Darling, a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home behind, who meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up. Together with her brothers and a fairy, Tinker Bell, she travels with Peter to the magical world of Neverland.

There he meets an evil pirate, Captain Hook, and embarks on an exciting and dangerous adventure that will change his life forever. The film stars Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts – Dumbledore), Alexander Molony (The Reluctant Landlord), Ever Anderson (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter), Yara Shahidi (Grown-ish), Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Joshua Pickering ( A Discovery of Witches – The manuscript of the witches), Jacobi Jupe, Molly Parker (House of Cards – The intrigues of power), Alan Tudyk (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Jim Gaffigan (The Jim Gaffigan Show).

Peter Pan & Wendy is directed by David Lowery, from a screenplay by David Lowery & Toby Halbrooks (Sir Gawain and the Green Knight) based on the JM Barrie novel and animated film Peter Pan. The film is produced by Jim Whitaker (The Invisible Dragon), with Adam Borba (A Wrinkle in Time), Thomas M. Hammel (Thor: Ragnarok) and Toby Halbrooks are executive producers.

Characters

Peter Pan

Peter Pan is a free-spirited and adventurous boy who doesn't want to grow up. He can fly and lives on the island called Neverland. He is described as "a lovely boy, dressed in skeletal leaves and the juices oozing from trees". It is also stated that he still has all of his baby teeth.

Wendy

Wendy Moira Angela Darling is a young girl, the eldest of the Darling family, who befriends Peter Pan and flies to Neverland (Neverland) to be a mother to him and the Lost Boys and share their adventures .

John Darling (Gianni)

John Napoleon Darling he is the middle child of the three Darling children. Characterized by round glasses and a top hat, he is a child who dreams of experiencing exciting adventures.

Michael Darling (Michael)

Michael Nicholas Darling he is the youngest of the three Darling children. A blond boy who never separates from his teddy bear Teddy Bear

Trilli

Tinker Bell is a fairy and Peter Pan's companion during his adventures with Wendy Darling and her brothers. She is noted for her loyalty to Peter, but she is very jealous of Wendy and Tiger Lily. In the original work, she is portrayed in flickering light and voiced by a tinkling bell.

Captain Hook

Captain Hook is a pirate and captain of the Jolly Roger. He is Peter Pan's archenemy and is determined to take revenge on Peter for cutting off his right hand in battle and feeding it to a crocodile.

Form

Spugna is Captain Hook's assistant, although he is sometimes referred to as the cook. In the first film, he is never referred to as first mate, but constantly acts as one for Captain Hook (albeit with varying degrees of personal loyalty).

Tiger Lily

The chief's daughter, often described as a princess (in her own right), who is captured by pirates and left to drown on Marooners' Rock before being rescued by Peter Pan.
