Families can add a new animated CBS Original special to their Christmas celebrations:  Reindeer in Here (The reindeer are here) The one-hour event will premiere on Tuesday, November 29 (21-22pm, ET / PT), right after Rankin / Bass's stop-motion classic Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (20pm - 21pm, ET / PT), the CBS television network is available for live and on-demand streaming on Paramount +.

Based on the award-winning Christmas book and plush set created by Adam Reed and written for TV by Greg Erb and Jason Oremland, Reindeer in Here  is the heartwarming story of how Blizzard (Blizz), a young reindeer living in the North Pole, has an unusual trait - one horn that is significantly smaller than the other - and his unique group of friends come together to save the future of the Christmas. In doing so, they unknowingly create a magical Christmas tradition like no other.

"I fell in love with this project the moment I read the script, and I immediately connected to the message 'different is normal'," said executive producer and director Lino DiSalvo ( Playmobil: The Movie ), former head of animation at Walt I Disney Animation Studios helped bring Frozen , RapunzelBolt on the big screen. "I love that Blizzard, our hero character, regardless of the situation, has confidence in himself, even when others may not, despite his differences."

In the special, Blizz just wants to show Santa that his original inventions can make Christmas even better. Theo, a 10-year-old lonely boy, is the new kid in town who wants to make friends. When a mysterious villain sweeps the magical snow globe that holds the wishes of every child in the world, these two unlikely heroes become Santa's only hope to save Christmas. Blizzard and Theo can't save Christmas alone, so they ask their trusted friends for help.

Their journey includes a unique, quirky and adorable cast of characters, including Candy, the Snow Maiden who shares too much; Pinky, the only all-pink reindeer in the North Pole; Hawk, the captivating dull polar bear with a crest; Bucky, the nervous big-toothed reindeer; the adorable and hilarious elf Smiley, who has been Santa's haunted HOHO (Head of Holiday Operations) for the past 500 years; and Isla, Theo's brilliant classmate.

The first image released today features Blizz, Smiley, Santa and Candy.

“As Blizzard tells Theo, 'Don't hide what makes you unique,' and this joyful, family-friendly TV hour celebrates just that,” said Reed, who is an executive producer on the special. "Reindeer in Here  it is a story that encourages not only to accept our differences, but also to celebrate them. It is a story full of laughter, joy, friendship and heart that we hope will join the list of holiday classics that families watch together year after magical year ”.
