The animated series "The World of Karma" from October 15 on Netflix

A new microphone queen is poised to bring encouragement, joy and love to family audiences on Netflix, with the debut of the new CG animated series The world of Karma  (Karma's World) . In the official trailer, we get a taste of the colorful characters that make up Karma's family, friends, and neighborhood, as well as some of the important topics the show will focus on, such as the meaning of black hairstyles.

The Netflix Original Series of 15 11-minute episodes of the family will premiere October 15 on Netflix.

The world of Karma  (Karma's World) follows Karma Grant, an aspiring music artist and rapper with great talent and an even bigger heart. Intelligent, resilient and deeply empathetic, Karma pours her soul into songwriting, channeling her feelings into intelligent rhymes with passion, courage and her signature brand of humor. In this series, Karma is only beginning to understand the incredible emotional power that words and music can have. He doesn't just want to share his music with the world… he wants to change the world with it!

The voice cast includes Asiahn Bryant, Camden Coley, Danielle Brooks, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tiffany Haddish, Jordan Fisher, Dascha Polanco, Dawnn Lewis, Isaia Kohn, Aria Capria, Kaila Mullady and Ramone Hamilton.

The series is produced by 9 Story Media Group and its Oscar-nominated Dublin-based studio Brown Bag Films, as well as Karma's World Entertainment, the Bridges production company. The series was originally inspired by Bridges' eldest daughter Karma and based on the interactive educational website of the same name created by Karma's World Entertainment in 2009.

The animated series will feature original songs focusing on themes such as self-esteem, body positivity, discrimination, creativity, expression of emotion, friendship, family, leadership, celebrating differences and more. The original sound design and music are created and supervised by Chris Bridges and James Bennett Jr. and produced by Gerald Keys.

Bronagh O'Hanlon is the director of the series, Halcyon Person is the lead writer, and the producers of the series are Danielle Gillis and Lisa O'Connor. Executive producers are Vince Commisso, Cathal Gaffney, Darragh O'Connell, Angela C. Santomero, Wendy Harris and Jennie Stacey.
