Watch: Billy Porter crowned "Middlemost Post" king of recycling

Tony Award winner Billy Porter (Kinky Boots) joins the cast of the original Nickelodeon animated series Middlemost Post as the King of Recycling in a brand new episode premiered on Friday 16 July at 19:30 pm. (ET / PT). Porter's host plays the eccentric king of a recycling center who uses the gift of song to teach others that everything has its place in a world of waste.

In “BURTO! The Musical, ”Angus accidentally throws away Parker's friend Burt, who is made from old boxes and recyclable materials. The two stray from their daily activities to visit Greenwood's Recycle King (Porter) in hopes of finding their lost friend. However, the music-inclined king doesn't want to give up on Burt, so the duo must come up with a complicated plan to get him back.

Middlemost Post follows a former rain cloud, a muscular postman and their magical pet walrus, as they deliver packages to the unusual inhabitants of Middlemost Mountain. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, the new episodes will continue to debut Friday night on Nickelodeon and have an international premiere this fall.

The vocal cast includes Becky Robinson (Kipo and the era of wonderful beasts) like Parker J. Cloud, an exuberant, relentlessly gentle, excessively eager and, above all, flexible cloud whose desire is to spread cheer; John Di Maggio (Futurama) as Angus Roy Shackleton, Parker's boss and owner of the Middlemost Post; Kiren (Increase hope) as Lily, Parker's best friend and master inventor; Colton Dunn (Superstore) as Mayor Peeve, the small mayor of the city of Somewhere caged in a small one-sided feud with Angus; and Johnny Pemberton (In the loop) as Ryan, a faithful assistant to Mayor Peeve.

Middlemost Post is created and co-produced by John Trabbic III. Dave Johnson is co-executive producer and story editor for Middlemost Post, with production overseen by Kelley Gardner, Vice President, Current Series, Animation, Nickelodeon.
