Shinobu Ohtaka's "Orient" anime series reveals cast, staff and visuals

The official website of the anime series Orient based on the manga comic by Shinobu ohtaka, announced the cast, staff and images. Yuma uchida will play Musashi (left in the image below) in the anime, while Soma Saito will play Kojirō Kanemaki (right).

Tetsuya Yanagisawa is directing the anime on ACGT extension. Mariko kunisawa is responsible for the scripts of the series. Takahiro kishida is drawing the characters. Hideyuki fukasawa he's composing music.

The anime will premiere in 2022. Crunchyroll will stream the anime.

Kodansha is publishing the manga in English and describes the story:

At the age of 10, best friends Musashi and Kojiro sat in excited silence as Kojiro's father told stories of evil demons preying on the innocent and the warriors who defeated them. By practicing fencing, the two vow to become the strongest in the world. But as they grow up, Kojiro becomes cynical and Musashi realizes he can't go back 150 years of demon rule alone. A prodigy is called with a pickaxe, and is almost ready to settle for a life of labor. Yet he can't shake off the feeling that he still has the responsibility to act ... and, soon, the injustices of his world will force his hand ...

Ohtaka posted the manga on  Weekly Shōnen Sunday in May 2018. The manga moved to Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine of Kodansha the February 9 Kodansha published the 13th volume of the book. Kodansha published the eleventh volume in English on April 20.

Ohtaka made the previousmanga  Magi su Weekly Shōnen Sunday of Shogakukan in 2009 after finishing his five-year run of Sumomo Momomo is finished in October 2017. Magi inspired two 25-episode anime series: Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic) in 2012 and the sequel  Magi: The Kingdom of Magic (Magi: The Kingdom of Magic) in 2013. Yoshifumi tera drew a spinoff manga titled Magi: Adventure of Sinbad, which first debuted as a bonus on the anime's home video release Magi prior to launch as a complete series. The spin-off in turn inspired an original video animated series and television anime series.
