Cartoon Network, Boomerang and POGO APAC strengthen the content team


WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks & Sales has designated Carlene Tan like New Original production and development director for the Kids division in Asia Pacific. As department head, he is responsible for identifying new IPs and producing original series for Cartoon Network, Boomerang and POGO.

Based in Singapore, Tan will immediately engage with the current list of Asia Pacific Originals, including the Emmy International nominee. Lamps, the new launch Monster beach. Prior to Warner Media, Tan developed an original animation with The Walt Disney Company (Southeast Asia) and was a studio director at One Animation, where she produced oddbods e Insectiles. He was also a founding member of Singapore's first animation studio, Peach Blossom Media.

Also on Lee's team is Hoyoung Jung, which was recently promoted as Director of acquisitions and co-productions, APAC Kids. Based in Japan, Jung is now in charge of discovering and negotiating third-party programming for the WarnerMedia children's platforms in the region and will be the face of networks in major international markets and fairs.

Jung is a former Mattel employee and worked on the Strategic IP Partnerships team responsible for distributing APAC content in Hong Kong. He also worked at Daewon Media, which represented the iconic Japanese IP in Korea, like Power Rangers, Doraemon e A pezzo.
