Copernicus Studios is developing "Skullkickers" as an animated series for adults

Halifax, Copernicus Studios, based in Canada (Pickle and Peanut, Teen Titans Go!) announced that it will develop the Skullkickers comic series into an action-adventure animation series for adults.

Skullkickers It is described as a "sarcastic delivery of sword and sorcery stories about a trio of mercenaries who kill monsters and wreak havoc in their pursuit of money, fame and adventure."
First published by Image Comics in 2010, the fantasy series was created by writer Jim Zub and illustrator Chris Stevens. Edwin Huang was the main artist of the comic series. Zub has worked for Marvel, DC Comics, Disney, Capcom, Hasbro, and Cartoon Network and has written high-profile comics that include The Avengers, Samurai Jacke Rick and Morty vs Dungeons & Dragons.
