Fredrikstad Animation Fest adds Digital Edition to 2020 plans
Organizers of the Norwegian Fredrikstad Animation Festival (FAF) have announced that in addition to the celebrations to be held, for the 2020th time, in the XNUMXth century city, the XNUMX event is adding a digital expansion to invite more animation fans from all over. the world.
Due to the unique challenges of planning a festival in the year of the coronavirus, many international events have decided to go online. While FAF still has plans to continue in the physical world, it was decided that the time was right to explore the virtual potential of FAF.
“A digital addition to the festival schedule is something we imagined would come in the future. Now this year's events have accelerated this development, which is open to all festival pass holders, ”said festival director Anders Narverud Moen.
Early Bird at this year's festival gives access to both the festival events in Fredrikstad and the digital addition to the festival.

Fredrikstad Animation Festival is the leading animation festival in the Nordic region, now in its twentieth edition. One of the cornerstones of the festival is the Nordic-Baltic animation short film competition, with the awarding of the award known as Golden Gunnar. Each year, the best professionals in the animation industry hold seminars and conferences, and the festival has previously hosted the most famous authors from studios such as Pixar, Disney and Aardman. The festival is a professional arena for the animation industry, as well as a major event for students and educational institutions in the fields of animation, graphic design and digital media production.
