The Royal Television Society presents candidates for 2020 Student TV

The Royal Television Society (RTS), Britain's leading forum for television and related media, has selected nominations for the RTS 2020 National Student Television Awards, sponsored by the Motion Content Group. In six categories, 23 college students received nominations, having qualified by winning their respective regional RTS awards earlier this year.

Now in its twenty-fifth edition, the award ceremony will air on Friday 26 June at 14:00. BST. Further details will be published in due course on the RTS website.

The RTS Student Awards celebrates the best audiovisual work created by students with an undergraduate and graduate winner, both awarded in every category in animation, comedy and entertainment, theater, facts, news and short form. To reward excellence in craftsmanship, prizes will also be awarded in the following categories at the discretion of the judges: camera work, editing, scenography, sound and writing.

"It was inspiring to see so much imagination, heart and energy to make it available to all nominees," said RTS Student Television Awards President Siobhan Greene (CEO, 110% content). “We need to be elevated now, higher than ever, and the life force of creativity we have seen from the innings has been fantastic. I'm looking forward to "meeting" the candidates through Zoom on June 26th. They deserve all the praise they will receive. "
