Los Angeles Latino Int'l Film Festival Awards
LALIFF concluded its 2021 edition by combining in-person and virtual screenings, plus film previews of the Netflix-sponsored Latinx Inclusion Fellowship fellows and its first Animation Day, organized with LatinX in Animation and featuring an inaugural animated short program presented by Cartoon Cartoons by Cartoon Network Studios. Kristian Mercado New Rico was named the first winner of the jury award for the festival's best animated short film (receiving a Toon Boom Storyboard Pro license).
