"SpongeBob" Spin Off "Patrick Star Show" in progress

Patrick, the co-star of SpongeBob SquarePants could have his own TV series! Deadline reports that Nickelodeon is finalizing deals for The Patrick Star Show, which is expected to receive a 13-episode order for Bikini Bottom's other most adorable invertebrate, voiced by Bill Faberbakke (Coach, how I Met Your Mother).

Generated by the creative team of Spongebob,  Patrick Star Show it will be an animated riff The Larry Sanders Show - a sitcom focusing on the Star family and Patrick's new job as a late night talk show host. A new cast of characters will join Fagarbakke behind the microphone, with occasional visits from fan-favorite characters from the original series.

Fans in the US are still waiting for all CG animation The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on Run, which will now be released on PVOD and CBS All Access in early 2021 (Netflix has acquired the international streaming rights.) A new CGI animated prequel series, Kamp koral, is also in the works from Nickelodeon with an order for 13 episodes.
