The-Artery makes a CG music video for the rock band The Living Tombstone

Award-winning creative company The-Artery launches a futuristic, full-CG music video for electronic rock band / YouTube sensation The Living Tombstone as part of the upcoming zero one album.

Directed by Uri Schutzer, the “Chosen” music video displays the five anonymous members of The Living Tombstone band, their identities wrapped in neon costumes, emerging from stasis tubes, which are juxtaposed with glimpses of mysterious past lives. Compositions include a next-level workshop, police chases in suspended vehicles and more, all culminating in an epic stage performance led by thrilling lyrics, powerful voices and a series of colored lights.

"We had a vision of this great science fiction video, but we had given up hope of getting it thanks to the effect of the coronavirus on production," shared The Living Tombstone. “When The Artery presented their incredible imaginative images, we were absolutely blown away. From the uninterrupted environments to the body movement of the band members, it was everything we wanted it to be. "

The piece was made entirely through CG along with motion capture, a major feat with creative teams working remotely. The team used 3ds Max, Houdini, Cinema 4D, ZBrush, Kinect, Redshift, Octane, Flame and Adobe Illustrator to bring the techno-futuristic vision to life.

“I immediately fell in love with the concept and knew from the start that CG was the only perfect way to get the images right,” explained Vico Sharabani, founder of The-Artery and executive creative director. “It was also an opportunity to continue taking our remote pipeline in an exciting direction, as well as a big step in our capabilities in creating virtual talent and improving virtual production. We are as much technologists as we are artists. The motion capture elements were designed and built directly from our homes ".

Schutzer added: “I wanted to create a high-level narrative in the wake of those trailers for superhero movies. My first call was to Vico, whose team had the talent and resources to realize this ambitious vision. The result is breathtaking. Whenever I share the final render with my colleagues, no one believes me when I reveal that they are not real people filmed in costume “.

Represented by Warner Music Group, The Living Tombstone boasts over 1,2 billion views and 4 million subscribers on YouTube. The band's most important works range from viral Five nights at Freddy's series at the “Party with Pinkie (Remix)” dedicated to the character Pinky Pie from the cult animated series Friendship with my little pony is magical.
