"Dead End: Paranormal Park" the animated series from June 16, 2022 on Netflix

Dead End: Paranormal Park is an animated fantasy horror series streaming on Netflix from author Hamish Steele, based on the graphic novel series DeadEndia by Steele and Cartoon Hangover 's Too Cool! cartoons on the web of Dead End. Produced by Blink Industries, the series premiered on June 16, 2022. A second season will premiere on October 13, 2022.

The series follows the adventures of Barney and Norma, the new employees in a theme park of a haunted house that is actually inhabited by ghosts. The pair are joined by Barney's dog, Pugsley, and Courtney, a millennial demon. Together they take on zombies, game hosts and witches.

Characters

Barney Guttman, a 17-year-old gay Jewish transgender boy who works as a security guard at the park. Due to family tensions, he decides to live in the haunted house. He has a crush on Logan "Logs" Nguyen.

Norm Khan, an autistic Pakistani-American girl who works in the haunted house with Barney. It is later revealed that she has a crush on Badyah. Series creator Hamish Steele claims that she is attracted to multiple genders, presumably bisexual, and that because Steele is autistic too, she has incorporated her own personal experiences into the character of Norma.

pugsley, Barney's pug. As a result of being possessed by a demon king named Temeluchus, he can speak and possess magical abilities.
Temeluco. After a failed attempt to possess Barney, part of his spirit resides in Pugsley.

Courtney, a millennial demon. He has been banished from his home by the angels and hopes to find a way back. He initially lures Barney and Norma to the park to be possessed by Temeluchus when he promises to allow her to return, but then hires and befriends humans.

Pauline Phoenix, a famous actress who owns Phoenix Parks.
Logan "Logs" Nguyen, Barney's love interest and a health and safety officer at the park. He is Vietnamese-American.

Badyah “Deathslide” Hassan, Norma's love interest. She is Iranian-American and Muslim.

Josh, a park security guard.

Patrick Guttman, Barney's younger brother.

Plot: Based on Hamish Steele's horror comedy graphic novels Dead Endia and on the web short film Dead End , Dead End: Paranormal Park follows the adventures of Barney, Norma and the magical talking dog Pugsley, as they balance their summer jobs in the haunted theme park. home while battling the totally real supernatural forces that dwell within it. Along with their multiplane guide to the underworld, a sardonic millennial demon named Courtney, they will take on zombie mascots, demonic game hosts, sleep-sucking witches, and scariest of all: their first crushes!

Produced by Blink Industries, with Steele taking on the role of showrunner, the series will also feature a special musical episode featuring songs written by Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump.
