Netflix debut trailer, new images for Sony's 'Wish Dragon'

Animation lovers and family audiences will have another wish fulfilled by the global streamer Netflix, which is bringing Sony Pictures Animation wish dragon to the public finally on June 11 as part of its hot summer list of highly anticipated animated feature films. Today marks the release of the official trailer, key art and four new images from the Chinese co-production, written and directed by animation artist Chris Appelhans (K-Pop: demon hunters).

In Wish Dragon, Din, a working-class college student with big dreams but small means (voiced by Jimmy Wong), and Long, a cynical but all-powerful wish-fulfilling dragon (John Cho), set out on an exhilarating adventure through modern Shanghai at search for Din's lost childhood friend, Lina (Natasha Liu Bordizzo). Their journey forces them to answer some of life's biggest questions, because when you can desire something, you have to decide what really matters.

The voice cast also includes Constance Wu (Mrs. Song), Will Yun Lee (Mr. Wang), Jimmy O. Yang (Weichi), Aaron Yoo (Pockets), Bobby Lee (Diao) and Ronnie Chieng (Pipa God).

wish dragon is produced by Sony Pictures Animation, Tencent, Sparkle Roll and Base Media. The producers are Aron Warner, Chris Bremble and Jackie Chan.
