Walter Mosley and Tom Reilly collaborate on the miniseries of The Thing of the Fantastic Four

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Fantastic Four, the first Marvel superhero family, this November the six-issue mini limited series will be released featuring everyone's favorite team member: Ben Grimm, better known as The thing (The Thing). Written by acclaimed crime novelist Walter mosley and with the drawings of the illustrator Tom reilly, the series will see "Ben Grimm embark on a stay that will see him face and fight characters old and new". Marvel promises that the series "will remind audiences why The Thing is one of the most popular and beloved characters in comic history!"

The rock member of the Fantastic Four in the past had other books dedicated to him. Previous series include The thing: Freakshow, a four-issue miniseries written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Scott Kolins e The Thing: Night falls on Yancy Street written by Evan Dorkin and illustrated by Dean Haspiel. The current writer of the Fantastic Four Dan Slott, wrote the last running series for The Thing in 2005, which lasted 8 issues before being canceled.
