Warsaw Studio Human Ark celebrates its 15 years of activity

Human Ark, a production studio based in Warsaw, is celebrating its 15th anniversary by making some changes: Human, the new simplified name of the company, is updating its visual identity and expanding its business strategy.

“Human Ark is now Human. We simplified the name because Human is the quintessence of this company. This word describes our strategy in the best possible way. In our daily activities, we focus on people, because the company is created by them, ”explained CEO Maks Sikora. “Strategically, we want to give a clear signal on a wider range of our services. We are not just an animation studio that does high quality advertising. The Human offering includes a full range of post-production and VFX services that allow you to work on all forms of film, from commercials, to music videos and campaigns, to series and feature films ”.

Broad peak

Operating on the Polish and international production market for over a decade, Human's team of over 50 animators, graphic designers, programmers and producers create digital special effects and 2D and 3D animations for the world of cinema, advertising and art. The studio's services also include full post-production services. In recent years the company has carried out advertising projects for clients from Europe and Asia. Major projects for which Human creates special effects include Broad Peak, a film based on the true story of the legendary Polish mountaineer Maciej Berbeka, and the drama series High Water , produced by Telemark, both directed to Netflix.

Human stands out for the high quality of the animation of the characters, the ability to create complex visual effects and the high artistic value of the productions. Now, Human's headquarters has grown another floor: the new post-production facility is equipped with DI and color grading offline, online, in a cinematic workspace. Furthermore, in 2018 Human entered into a partnership with the Czech manufacturer PFX; an experienced team of 120, based in Prague's iconic Barrandov Studios, among others. The studios support each other in advertising and film projects. PFX is also the co-producer of Diplodocus  , the original production of Human.

Diplodocus

Diplodocus

“We are currently producing the first 3D animated film on this scale in Poland. Thanks to participation in foreign trade fairs, festivals and conferences, we have understood that Diplodocus is a film with great international potential. We met many people from the industry who helped and supported us during the preparatory period. At Cartoon Movie, we found a partner for the film: PFX, ”commented Wjotek Wawszczyk, director of Diplodocus and Art Director of Human. “As an organization, we are at a time when such cooperation is part of the studio's development and new strategy. We have been on the market for 15 years, it is a very important moment for us ”.

“Also, of course, we continue to focus on high-end advertising and
advanced graphics in movies and TV series, ”added Wawszczyk. “We are constantly looking for new creative ideas. We are in an advanced stage of working on Diplodocus but knowing how long it takes to develop ours
production, we are already thinking about the new titles. Furthermore, we are looking for new collaborations in the field of cinema, both service and co-production. Regardless of whether the project is commercial or fictional, we see a film in all its forms: this approach determines the way we think and act in Human ”.
