Ruka, a rebel high school student, is excluded from the club for the entire duration of the school holidays. The girl then decides to visit her father at the aquarium where she works and here she will have a strange encounter with Umi (sea), a foreign boy who seems to have grown up between strange and extraordinary secrets. Fascinated by her way of swimming that makes him look like a bird in flight, Ruka finds himself, in spite of her, part of a complex cog larger than her. At the same time, the whole world is shocked by an anomaly never seen before: all the fish are disappearing.
