DC announces Jock's BATMAN: ONE DARK KNIGHT

The cartoonist Jock is known for his iconic works of art which have graced many successful comics such as Green Arrow: Year One as well as the writer Scott Snyder about Batman. Today DC announced that Jock will do the double duty of writing and illustrating Batman: One Dark Knight (Batman: a Dark Knight), a three-issue miniseries in premium format from the Black Label mature reader brand.

Batman: A Dark Knight

Here's how DC describes it Batman: One Dark Knight (Batman: a Dark Knight)

When a mere escort from the GCPD goes awry, Batman finds himself on the wrong side of Gotham City in the midst of a heatwave with a super villain in tow. Follow Batman as he traverses block after block through a darkened Gotham City as he drags an EMP to his permanent home at Blackgate Prison. Gotham City's dark corners contain many surprises… and EMP plans to deliver many more shocks before the night is over!

In a statement announcing the series, Jock described his goal for the title:

“I think most readers know how much I love drawing Batman, so I was thrilled to marry the visual version with my plot for Batman: One Dark Knight,” Jock said. “I wanted to tell a thrilling and tight action story, set on a typical night in Gotham City; except when a blackout comes it's a very, very bad night for Batman. I can't wait to share more with everyone soon! "

Batman: One Dark Knight (Batman: a Dark Knight) is the latest of many Batman-related titles from DC's Black Label. Last month DC announced  Batman: The Imposter (Batman: The impostor) by the artist Andrea Sorrentino e The Batman film writer Mattson Tomlin, and Catwoman: Lonely City  (Catwoman: Lonely Town), the long-awaited Black Label series by the writer / artist Cliff Chiang.
