Fuse renews "Sugar and Toys" Saturday morning adult sketch program


Fuse Media, a multi-platform entertainment multimedia brand serving a multi-cultural audience of the Millennium and Gen Z, today unveiled a new programming program enhanced by original and revamped series. The slate of the originals - which encompasses many returning series and several concepts that originated with digital before making it to linear TV - leans into musical culture to create an expanding collection of engaging, empowering and unifying programming.

Among these is Fuse's first (and continuously successful) foray into adult animation, Sugar and toys, which has been renewed for a second season. The mixture of Saturday morning cartoons, the social commentary and the parody of the culture of music has left its mark by speaking directly to the most relevant trends and issues for a thousand-year-old audience.

"Our expanded content list reflects an unwavering commitment to entertain and empower a young, multicultural audience through the unifying theme of music culture," said JT Ladt, Chief Content Officer of Fuse Media. The new and returning content is complemented by Fuse Media's recently announced social responsibility Be Changecall-to-action initiative, which was launched on March 30. Its first iteration, Be Change: Be Home, is a series of an-air interstitials, graphics, digital and social media messaging aimed to keep Fuse's audience informed, active, and mentally stimulated while practicing social distancing. Adult comedy, social commentary, and music culture parody bring the cartoon party down, talking directly about the trends and issues most relevant to a young audience, and booked by multi-platinum guest rapper and actor KYLE (Netflix's The After Party, www.superduperkyle.com). Unleashed (WT; 10 x 30 ′) - Presenter Jimmy O. Yang (Crazy Rich Asians, Silicon Valley) brings his adorable pug, Toffee, to bring pop culture icons and their four-legged friends on comic adventures in Los Angeles dog places.
