Gate of Nightmares smartphone game reveals Azel character trailer and opening animation video


Square Enix streamed a short version of the opening animation video for his role-playing video game  Gate of Nightmares  for smartphones, which will feature character design and world building of  Fairy tail e Eden Zero by the manga comic author Hiro Mashima.


Square Enix  also streamed a character trailer for Azel.

The video game is planned for iOS and Android, but Square Enix has not yet revealed a release date. The game has accepted beta test applications until June 25 and is currently open for pre-registration. The game will be free to play but will include optional in-game purchases.

The game is a traditional fantasy of sword and sorcery set in the real world and Lemurias, a parallel world where people's dreams come together and become real. On Lemurias, monstrous creatures known as Nightmares are born from the fear and torment of people. The story begins with the meeting between the girl Emma and the boy Azel. Emma is a Nightwalker, trained to fight using nightmares. Azel is a boy who seems to attract nightmares.

Jin Fujisawa, writer of many games in Square Enixit is long lasting Dragon Quest RPG series, is writing the scenario for the game. Yasuharu Takanashi, who composed the music for Mashima's television anime Fairy tail manga, is composing the music for the game.
