Pixelatl Fest confirms the series of special guests for the virtual 2020 edition

The 2020 edition of Mexico pixelatl the animation festival, which will take place online this year, is fast approaching. Scheduled from 1 to 5 September, the organizers have revealed the first group of special guests who will animate the event with their animated insights and skills.

Among the talents who will speak in panels and offer masterclasses (most of which will be presented in English) are the author of  Steven Universe  Rebecca sugar, Crunchyroll Original coming soon Onyx equinox Creator Sophia Alexander, Wizards: Tales of Arcadia artistic director Yingjue Linda Chen, director of animation Pete michels (The Simpsons, The Griffins), Site Manager Mike Hollingsworth (BoJack Horseman, Tuca and Bertie) and artist, director, writer and producer Jorge Gutiérrez (The book of life, El Tigre, arriving Maya and the Three).

Virtual participants can also learn to walk (or the equivalent in video chat) of Ashley Long (supervisor director, Paradise PD), Tristan Oliver (Photography director, Isle of dogs), Simon Chong (director, Bob's Burgers) to Francis Rivers (freelance composer / sound designer).

The festival, which this year embraces the theme "We are the children of the same land", also recently reviewed its official trailer, designed by Pixelatl 2020 creative partner studio Exodo Animation Studios.

And, for the third year, Pixelatl collaborated with Cartoon Network in search of the next revolutionary female creator in Latin American animation with the GIRL POW3R - Pitch Me the Future call for projects. First prize? The production of the pilot episode of the winning concept!
