"BOT and the beasts" the animated series for children by the Ragdoll studio

Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 blockade in the UK, award-winning studio Ragdoll Productions is putting the finishing touches on its new preschool animated series BOT and the Beasties. The series will be released on CBeebies (UK) in early 2021. Developed and in production, during the pandemic lockout, with a team of young animators who have had their first professional opportunities, the animated series celebrates stupidity, playfulness and the invention during these difficult times.

The 2D animated series, consisting of 50 episodes lasting 5 minutes, introduces preschoolers to the difficulties of an adorable robot called BOT (Beastie's Observation Transmitter). The little robot must discover new worlds and all sorts of new creatures that inhabit it. BOT must collect data on the Beasties, funny and unpredictable creatures. The mission is never easy, but always a lot of fun!

The animated adventure begins with a series of bizarre Beasties, from five different worlds, and each episode always offers a wonderful story. BOT embarks on several hilarious journeys to discover Beastie.

"BOT and the beasts it was developed with a commitment to observe how children interact and integrate. While traveling to different worlds, children will develop counting, sorting and categorization skills as well as their first steps in storytelling, ”said Anne Wood, Ragdoll's founder and creative director.

With this project, Ragdoll's creative team was also able to bring up some young animators. They were given their first professional opportunity to create this innovative new series.
