SpongeBob: Sponge on the Run has been withdrawn from Academy nominations

In a message sent to the voters of the participating categories, the Academy revealed that SpongeBob movie: Sponge on the Run of Paramount and Nickelodeon was withdrawn from the list of qualified animated productions under consideration for nomination. The film had been withdrawn from theatrical release due to the pandemic and is expected to make its first broadcast in the United States on the new Paramount + platform on March 4 -

"Dear member of the voting committee for animated films,

We hope you enjoyed the animated feature films presented. We wanted you to be aware of some mailing updates:

• The film is titled Nos. Ili Zagovor Ne Takikh has been updated to the English title The Nose or the Conspiracy of Mavericks.
• SpongeBob movie: Sponge on the Run has decided to withdraw from consideration and will no longer be available for viewing in the Academy's screening room ”.
