Toonami prepares for 2022 with a new show every week

WarnerMedia's Toonami anime block is kicking off the new year with a winter barrage of previews. The brand's official Facebook page announced that it was expecting "a lot of business," with details to come, "but that TOM will present fans with a new show every week for" next month or so. "The debuts kicked off this weekend with the arrival of Assassination room Season 2, in a lineup that also included the new original Adult Swim / Crunchyroll Blade Runner: Black Lotus as well as constant favorites Naruto Shippuden e Cowboy Bebop.

Based on the manga created by Yusei Matsui, the Assassination room anime series launched on Fuji TV in 2015, directed by Seiji Kishi in Lerche. The series puts the fate of humanity in the hands of a seemingly random group of students who are challenged by a powerful octopus-like creature disguised as a kindergarten teacher - it has already destroyed the Moon and Earth is next, unless Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High can learn the secret to killing him within the year.

In the second season, Class 3-E goes back to school for the second semester of sharpening the blades, but they will have to work hard to outwit the enemy assassins after the bounty on Master Koro's slippery head. Meanwhile, their Class A rivals and even the principal try to stop them from achieving academic excellence!

Assassination room debuted on Toonami in August 2020.

Toonami aired on Cartoon Network in 1997 with a focus on action cartoons, hosted by Moltar from Space ghost. Robot host TOM was introduced in the 1999 relaunch and the block began to focus on anime classics such as Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon e Mobile Suit Gundam when he moved to a night block in 2000. Toonami (and TOM) underwent several reorganizations.

The show currently airs Saturdays at midnight, offering fan favorites such as Lupine III, Demon slayer, The bizarre adventure of JoJo, original co-professionals like Fena: Princess of the pirates, Shenmue e Uzumaki (coming this year) as well as Western cartoons like Harley Quinn and that of Genndy Tartakovsky Primordial.
