#ToonChat: remote work in animation

Warning: In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, Toon Boom animation is providing studio and school home use licenses for staff, teachers, and students. You can find all the details here. We will be providing more information in the coming weeks.

The topic of this month's #ToonChat discussion is how to work remotely by collaborating on animated projects. Join us this month are expert guest storyartists, Karine Charlebois and Mark Simon, as well as a Knights of the Light Table director, India Swift, and color wizard, Michael Doig.

The conversation will include the following discussion topics:

  • How is working remotely in animation different from working in a studio?
  • What were the biggest challenges for remote working in the animation industry?
  • Aside from animation software, what tools are useful for working remotely?

Chat information:

If this is the first time you have participated in a Twitter chat, here's how the format works: users meet on Twitter on Friday 27 March at 18:00 EDT using the #ToonChat hashtag. Within an hour, our account (@ToonBoom) will ask six questions (numbered Q1, Q2, Q3…) to solicit responses from our chat participants. Make sure you include the #ToonChat hashtag in all of your posts to allow other attendees to easily discover your comments. Respectful discussion between attendees and our guest experts is always encouraged.
