Trailer: "RvB" spinoff "Family Shatters" debuts October 20 on Rooster Teeth
The pioneering webtoon Red vs. blue is expanding its “Red vs. Blu-niverse "with 10 quick and non-canonical peeks into the bizarre daily happenings in the special operations headquarters: Family Shatters. The bonus miniseries will debut for Rooster Teeth FIRST Members on October 20, available the following day on Rooster Teeth and YouTube. The new short films will be released on the following Wednesdays.
The three to five minutes Family Shatters The shorts were created by an experimental team working in Unreal Engine, combining techniques including machinima gameplay capture, predefined animation assets, facial motion capture (using Live Link), and engine-integrated control platforms.
Inspired by the FPS franchise Halo, Red vs. blue is a science fiction comic web series created by Rooster Teeth co-founder Burnie Burns in 2003. Rooster Teeth is currently in production on the show's nineteenth season.
