Following the announcement of a new theme Okami-collab of themed content (coming July 30th), the game has been updated to version 3.2.0. Includes new event missions, new DLCs (available on the eShop) and additional language support. There are also various bug fixes, related to the player, the monster and more.

Monster Hunter Rise - Patch: Ver.3.2.0 (Released July 29, 2021)

Important

  • To use the DLC and play online, you need to update Monster Hunter Rise to the latest version.
    • - You can check the version you are in at the bottom right of the title screen.
    • - Online play requires Nintendo Switch Online membership.
  • If you don't have internet access, you can play local multiplayer, as long as each player is using the same version of the software.
    • - Visit the Nintendo Support page for more information.

Major additions / changes

  • New event missions will be available every week.
  • The new DLC can be purchased from Nintendo eShop.
  • Added support for the Arabic language.

Bug Fixes / Miscellaneous

Base / plant

  • Fixed an issue that occasionally caused missions to start while players still had the item box open.
  • Fixed an issue that occasionally allowed players to place the same trinket twice when changing the interior of the room.
  • Fixed an issue that occasionally caused only one color of layered armor to be changed when editing all colors at once via the Layered Armor Pigment option at Buddy Smithy.
  • Fixed a bug that occasionally caused discrepancies between the preview and the companion the player had with them when changing the color of the companion layered armor.
  • Fixed an issue where Ikari's dialogue content was incorrect when speaking to him in a specific order at the village port.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the controls from working if the player quickly pressed the A button when ordering a motley mix at the cafeteria.

monsters

  • Fixed an issue that caused Goss Harag's breath to appear odd and incorrectly detect hits if the player paused and reactivated the game during the breath attack.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some monsters of unintended size to appear as invaders in some mission information.
    Monsters concerned: Aknosom, Bishaten, Rajang, Teostra, Apex Mizutsune, Apex Rathalos, Apex Zinogre.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented monsters that are repelled by weapon attacks while stuck in a trap during a Fury mission from being counted towards the “Repel Using Weapon” secondary assignment.
  • Fixed a bug that occasionally caused Apex Mizutsune to continue using her breath attack even when she was on the ground.
  • Fixed an issue where Teostra's Dust would remain on the screen if he was killed while crafting.
  • Fixed a bug that occasionally prevented monsters from moving if the player uses a Wailnard to lure them under specific circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug that occasionally prevented some damage from being dealt at specific times, when hitting Crimson Glow Valstrax with certain attacks (like Charged Blade Ax: Amped Element Discharge) while draining energy.

Player

  • Fixed a bug that occasionally caused all information on the screen to disappear if the player enters a tent after being hit by a restrictive attack.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the player character to vocally respond to a request for help if they were in a tent while another player arrived.
  • Fixed an issue where the Hunting Horn would trigger a melody when the player started a Magnificent Trio under specific circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the target setting on a monster to be removed if the player sets the radial menu settings to Type 2 and then performs certain actions after opening the custom radial menu.
  • Fixed an issue that occasionally caused the player to travel quickly to the upper area instead of the lower area during “The Allmother” mission.
  • If the player is hit just while delivering a transport item, a message saying the item is broken will appear even after delivering it. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue with the game so that if the player changed the menu gear in the radial menu settings, the new gear was properly maintained after leaving the game.
  • Fixed a point in Area 1 of the Lava Caves that the player would not be able to jump if riding a Canyne.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented “Ammo Up” from activating if the player activated this ability using a decoration on their weapon, then switched weapons or reverted to their original weapons.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Buddy attacks to ignore the Flinch Free ability.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a glowing line to appear under the player character's chin if Makeup / Paint 30 is set to bright.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented monster drops collected in optional side missions from being counted during “Serpent Goddess of Thunder” and “The Allmother” missions.
  • Fixed an issue that occasionally caused the player character model to bend to the waist if the player used a kunai after being obliterated by a wyvern's fire taking damage.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the player from using the Charged Blade Sword: Morph Slash after dodging in sword mode.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Sword: Return Stroke of the loaded blade to be performed instead of Sword: Forward Slash if performed immediately after a sword mode dodge without touching the left stick.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Firearm Artillery skill compensation from being applied to parts of the Fire element when using projectiles, charged projectiles, or powerful projectiles.
  • Fixed a bug that caused connection errors and crashes if the player has more than 15 status icons in total.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a severe angle correction when pressing X + A after the Charge Blade Counter Peak Performance.
  • Fixed a bug that caused invincibility to be canceled due to a stopping shot when using Demon Flight of dual blades.

Various

  • Fixed a bug that prevented defense bonuses from displaying correctly on the gear confirmation screen in the arena.
  • Fixed brightness change animations for some slightly smoother effects.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a friend's old name to be displayed during a mission if the friend's name was changed while playing online.
  • Fixed a bug that occasionally prevented monsters from responding correctly when thrown towards a vent in the Lava Caves from a specific angle.
  • Fixed an issue that occasionally caused mission information to appear incorrect if the player quickly switches from "Ready" to "Exit Standby" while playing online.
  • Fixed a bug that occasionally prevented a Lucky Life icon from disappearing after picking it up, due to connection latency.
