The Afternoon of Remembrance event will remember the animators who passed away in 2020

In this first month of 2021 there will be an event to remember all the talented artists that the animation world has lost in 2020. Hosted by The animation guild e ASIFA-Hollywood,Afternoon of Remembrance (Afternoon of Remembrance) is a virtual event taking place on Saturday, January 30th from noon to 17pm

A Hollywood tradition for over a quarter of a century, Afternoon of Remembrance will pay tribute to all those who have made their contribution in the field of animation, from the best leaders in the industry to artists of rank. Tom Sito, the co-founder of the event and president emeritus of The Animation Guild, describes it as a time to "remember, laugh, cry and share stories as we say goodbye to all our friends who left us in 2020".

Those awarded this year will include: the cartoonist Roman Arambula for Mickey mouse , the creators and contributors of Scooby Doo Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, the Disney animator Ann Sullivan and the Emmy Award-winning animation writer David Wise.

The Afternoon of Remembrance is open to the public. Anyone interested in participating can register at tiny.cc/TAGAOR.
