'Arcane;' “Love, Death + Robots” are the big winners of the Creative Emmy Awards

Netflix was the big animation winner at last night's Creative Emmy Awards. The acclaimed streamers shows Arcane e Love, Death + Robots ("Jibaro") won Emmys for Best Animated Series and Best Animated Short. Even Arcane , Love, Death + Robots of Netflix and The House and The Boys Presents Diabolical of Amazon were honored with previously announced jury awards, leaving network and TV favorites empty-handed as The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers and Robot Chicken. Spanish animation director Alberto Mielgo also set a new record by winning two Emmys for his overtime Love, Death + Robotsepisode, “Jibaro”, only a few months after winning the Oscar for his short film The Windshield Wiper.

The two nights of Creative Emmys footage will be condensed into a two-hour recap, which airs September 10 on FXX. The Primetime Emmys will air September 12 on NBC and Peacock, live from Microsoft.
