Nominees for the Quirino Awards: 'Ainbo', 'Bob Spit', My uncle José 'and' Valentina '

The Ibero-American Animation Quirino Awards have announced the finalists for its fifth edition. A total of 19 works from 12 countries will compete in nine categories. The winners of the awards, created to promote and enhance animation in the Ibero-American region, will be unveiled during a ceremony in La Laguna, Tenerife, on May 14th.

With six works each, Brazil, Chile and Mexico are the countries most represented among the finalists, closely followed by Spain with five candidates. Among the finalists there are also works from Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, Portugal and, for the first time, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
