Affairs of the art (2021 | UK / Canada | 16 min.) With Affairs of the Art, director Joanna Quinn and producer / writer Les Mills continue the series of beloved, hilarious and award-winning British animated films starring Beryl, a 59-year-old worker obsessed with drawing and determined to become hypersensitive - futurist artist. We also meet his grown son, Colin, a techno fanatic; her husband, Ifor, now Beryl's model and muse; and her sister, Beverly, a narcissistic fanatic living in Los Angeles. Affairs of the Art offers insights into the peculiar childhoods of Beryl, Beverly and Colin, and we see that obsession is in this family's DNA. The first co-production between Beryl Productions International and the National Film Board of Canada, Affairs of the Art features Quinn's hand-drawn animation with Mills' raucous and humorous attitude and scenery, in a captivating play through the quirky addictions of a family.

Bestia

Beast (2021 | Chile | 16 min.) Directed by Hugo Covarrubias. Inspired by real events, Bestia enters the life of a secret police officer during the military dictatorship in Chile. The relationship with his dog, his body, his fears and frustrations, reveal a macabre fracture in his mind and in a village.

Box Ballet

BoxBallet (2021 | Russia | 15 min.) Directed by Anton Dyakov. Delicate dancer Olya meets Evgeny, a rough boxer who personifies "strong but silent". With very different lives and worldviews, will they be brave enough to embrace their feelings? Can two fragile souls cling to each other despite the cruelty of the world?

Robin robin

Robin robin (2021 | UK | 31 min.)Directed by Daniel Ojari and Michael Please. Robin Robin, an Aardman production, is the story of a little bird with a very big heart. After a shaky birth - her unhatched egg falls out of the nest and into a garbage can - she comes out of her shell, in more ways than one, and she is adopted by a loving family of rogue mice. More beak and feathers than fur, tail and ears, more hen and clamor than tiptoe and stealthy, she is still loved by her adoptive family, a mouse dad and four siblings. As she grows up, though, her differences make her something of a responsibility, especially when the family takes her on stealthy forays into human homes (pronounced "Who-mans") in the middle of the night. Neither completely bird nor completely mouse, Robin embarks on a food theft to prove that she is worthy of her family and, hopefully, she too to bring them a Christmas sandwich. Along the way, she meets a gruff magpie who has a house full of shiny things she stole and, apparently, an unlikely heart of gold. She has decided to steal the sparkling star from the top of a local family's Christmas tree. And who could help him better than the eternally optimistic Robin herself. The adventure brings them face to face with a menacing but very cool cat who has a warm place for birds and mice alike: her belly. Can they survive? Can they take the sandwich and the star home? And most importantly, can Robin discover and learn to love who she really is, delighting her family and earning her wings in the process?

The Windshield Wiper

The Windshield Wiper (The wiper) (2021 | Spain | 15 min.) Directed by Alberto Mielgo. Inside a bar, while smoking a whole pack of cigarettes, a man asks an ambitious question: "What is love?" A collection of skits and situations will lead the man to the desired conclusion.
