Fox Corp's Bento Box signs an animation development agreement with Australian Princess Pictures


Bento Box Entertainment, the animation company owned by Fox Corporation behind Bob's hamburger (pictured above), has signed an animation development agreement with Australian production company Princess Pictures.

Here are the details:

  • Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will collaborate to develop animated shows by Australian creators. The shows will be entirely produced in Australia. Princess is well positioned to identify local talent - based in Melbourne, she has produced some of Australia's most popular shows, including Chris Lilley's comedies Summer Heights High e Angry Boys.
  • The projects developed by the two companies will be executive produced by Scott Greenberg (co-founder and CEO) of Bento Box, Joel Kuwahara (co-founder and production president) and Ben Jones (creative director); and Princess Laura Waters (founder), Mike Cowap (senior producer) and Emma Fitzsimons (managing director).
  • As well as the Emmy winner Bob's hamburger for Fox, Bento Box also produces works for other networks and streamers, including Lazor Wulf (Swimming for adults), Paradise PD (Netflix) Brickleberry (Central comedy), The Awesomes (Hulu) and the upcoming Central park (Apple TV +). He has studies in Los Angeles and Atlanta.

  • Bento Box was one of the largest independent animation studios in the United States before it was acquired last year by Fox Entertainment, a division of Fox Corporation (which was reconstituted from 21st-century Fox parts not bought by the Walt Disney Company. ).
