The animated adaptation of Batman: Year One receives a commemorative edition for the XNUMXth anniversary

In the wake of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event that sought to resolve and restore DC Comics continuity, the comic writer Frank Miller and the draftsman David mazzucchelli for BatmanYear one (Batman: Year One), have created a story arc in the pages of Batman # 404-407 which chronicles Caped Crusader's first year as a crime fighter. Since it was first published in 1987, BatmanYear one (Batman: Year One) is considered to be among the quintessential Batman storylines of all time and continues to influence Batman in other media. It is therefore not surprising that in 2011 an animated adaptation of BatmanYear one (Batman: Year One).

Today, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced that on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the animated adaptation BatmanYear one (Batman: Year One), there will be a fully remastered version of the film that will include newly released extra content, Reinventing Gordon. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC, the PG-13 rated film arrives on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack (US $ 33,99 SRP; Canada $ 39,99 SRP) and Digital starting November 9, 2021.

Originally released on Blu-ray and DVD in 2011, BatmanYear one (Batman: Year One) is based on the famous 1987 DC titles by 12-time Eisner Award winner and Eisner Award Hall of Fame member Frank Miller and illustrator David Mazzucchelli. The film depicts the return of young Bruce Wayne to Gotham City in his early attempts to fight injustice as a costumed superhero. The playboy billionaire chooses the guise of a giant bat to fight crime, creates an early bond with a young lieutenant James Gordon (who is already battling corruption within the police department), inadvertently plays a role in the birth of Catwoman, and helps bring down a corrupt political system that haunts Gotham City.

Six-time Emmy® Award winner Bryan Cranston e Gotham star Ben mckenzie  they lead a stellar cast such as Lt. James Gordon and Bruce Wayne / Batman, respectively. Eliza Dushku  provides the voice of Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Katee sackhoff  voices Detective Sarah Essen and the late Alex Rocco is the voice of crime lord Carmine Falcone. Additional voices / characters include the deceased Jon polito as Commissioner Loeb, Jeff Bennett like Alfredo, Gray griffin as Barbara Gordon and Vicki Vale, Robin Atkin Downes as Harvey Dent, Keith Ferguson in the role of Jefferson Skeevers, Fred Tatasciore as Detective Flass, Stefano Root in the role of Brendon, Liliana mom like Holly and Nick Jameson like Merkel.
